Who we are

TestHubHQ (testhubhq.com) connects app developers with testers and runs automated tests of their builds. Questions about this policy or your data: [email protected].

Account data

Email address, display name, password hash (never the password itself) or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google, and optionally the email addresses you use on Google Play, the App Store and the Microsoft Store, your country and language.

Store emails are shown to the developer of a test you join, because the stores only let a tester in by email. They are not shown to anyone else.

Data from the tester apps

The Android app asks for Usage Access. With it, and only for the apps of tests you have joined, it reads: whether the app is installed, when and from which store, its version, how long it was in the foreground today and how many times it was opened. It sends these numbers to us as the proof for that day. Usage of other apps is skipped on the device and never kept or sent, and the app does not read your messages, contacts, location or files.

Only while a test session you started is running, the desktop app checks every 5 seconds which application is in front. When you end the session it sends the time the app under test was in front, its identifier and version, and whether it is installed. Window titles are not read, and other applications are not recorded or sent.

Both apps register the device (model, OS version, app version and a random install ID) so one device counts for one tester per test.

Screenshots and bug reports you upload are visible to the developer of that test.

Data from developers

App details and uploaded builds. Builds are stored to run the tests you order. Builds and the results of bot runs (findings, logs, screenshots) are kept until you delete the app or your account.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive the amount, the credit pack and your email; card details never reach us.

Cloudflare serves the website and the API (DNS, attack protection), so it sees the IP address and details of each request.

Website statistics

testhubhq.com uses no tracking cookies and no ads. To count page views it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and does not follow you across other websites.

How we use it

To run tests, verify testing days, pay out and refund credits, prevent abuse (one device per tester per test, rate limits), send reminders you enabled and answer support requests. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Where it is stored and for how long

On servers we operate. Account data is kept while the account exists; the credit ledger is kept as long as accounting law requires.

To export or delete your data, write to [email protected] from the account email. We answer within 30 days.

Children

TestHubHQ is not for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post changes here and, for material ones, email account holders before they take effect.
